<p>She covers a range of topics in the interview, sharing her thoughts on the length of the consultation period, the extent of the Review itself and whether it is maybe too wide-reaching, the timetable leading up to new regulations being implemented, which elements of the Review may or may not make it into the draft legislation, how the Review will affect high frequency and algorithmic trading, the UK Foresight project looking at computer trading in financial markets, the inclusion of G20 proposals around cross-Atlantic clearing, the possible disenfranchising of the EU as a financial services centre, the impact on the buy-side and much more.</p>

<p>Michael is responsible for Promontory’s European practice, focusing on global risk management solutions for European-based banks and the European operations of banks headquartered elsewhere in the world.  He also leads the Group’s extensive practice in global anti-money laundering compliance. Prior to joining Promontory in 2004, Mr. Dawson was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.</p>
